Then

I design video games for a living. Previously, I was...

Game developping

  • Building a dynamic character system with swappable body parts.
  • Listening to dark ambient viking music, thanks to my mom.
  • Chilling with family.

Bathing in vaporwave

Conquering the galaxy

  • Still playing Stellaris. A lot.
  • Finally getting bored of playing Stellaris.
  • Starting to watch Altered Carbon. Excellent worldbuilding.
  • Still working on that hypothetical farming sim.
  • Playing more RAV Vast than the usual.

Billboarding

  • Doing various pixel art tests for billboard characters in RPG in a Box.
  • Watching The Sandman series. Not as bad as I first thought.
  • Watching My Octopus Teacher. Amazing, beautiful, I can't recommend it enough.
  • Playing quite a bit of Dwarf Fortress.
  • Playing way too much Stellaris.

Slowing down

  • Stopping my weight lifting routine to avoid further tendon injuries.
  • Focusing on bodyweight and cardio until the end of the year instead.
  • Starting to solo roleplay the introductory adventure of Troika! with Mythic.
  • Tripping on the excellent Dwarf Fortress soundtrack.

Drafting

  • Diving back into Magic: The Gathering after a couple of decades.
  • Playing MTG Arena to re-learn the basics.
  • Participating to a MTG draft evening with coworkers. That was a lot of fun.
  • Creating a "solo party" for Troika!
  • Starting to learn mixing and mastering techniques.

Role playing

  • Diving into the wondrous Troika! bundle I got last week.
  • Looking into the Mythic solo RPG system to experiment with Troika!
  • Still honing my drum and bass skills.
  • Finally updating this "new" website.

Drumming & bassing

  • Crafting my first ever drum & bass track.
  • Realizing it's not as hard as I thought it would be.
  • Wondering why the hell I didn't do this earlier.
  • Cleaning up my procedural dungeon scripts.
  • Playing a bit of Baldur's Gate 3.

Coding & drumming

Rekindling the flame

  • Feeling the itch to restart work on Under This Forlorn Tree.
  • Thinking my conlang project would perfectly fit with it.
  • Looking forward to also compose the soundtrack with my current setup.
